This was probably one of the best training runs I've ever had. A few caveats ... I took it easy on the first 10 miles, stopped for a break/gel/drink before hitting the ten marathon paced miles, I ran a very flat route for the MP miles, and while doing the MP miles I stopped a couple of times - once to look for a water bottle I had dropped off earlier (never did find it) and once to drink from a public fountain (since I couldn't find my water bottle). Both stops would have been less than a minute.

My pace for the ten MP miles was 7:49 minutes per mile (4:51 mins/km). Add in the minute of so for the two stops and it would have been about 7:55 mins/mile. That's a pace better than a 3:30 marathon, which I don't expect to get next month. When I run the half-marathon next weekend, it will give me a better idea of what a realistic pace will be.

Just 46 miles this week, but at least it ended on a good note. Likely my last 20 miler for this training cycle too.

Looks like I'll bike a bit tonight with Cam on the trail, to search for that water bottle!
