This workout kind of surprised me. After a bit of a warmup, I ran 20 DT, 10 T, 15 DT, 10 T with 2:00 easy recovery in between. The downtempo felt surprisingly easy, but the tempo segments were pretty demanding given that I had ripped through a ton of glycogen already in the downtempo work despite the perceived effort being much less. That being said, I was able to establish a good rhythm from the start and go on cruise control during the downtempo, which was very encouraging. The tempo work felt a little faster than I thought it should feel, but I have not done much work on that end yet. All in all, this was a very good workout today.
