Decided to swim again today. Figured I should probably try to swim every day to keep my cardio strength up. A different flotation device was suggested to me today (I was previously using a pool noodle at my ankles) and this one worked a lot better. Just a dense shaped piece of foam that goes between your thighs. But I think it helped keep my legs straight and together with nothing dragging behind. Swimming felt easier and more natural this way. So doing the same workout I was able to go faster. I think next time I will try swimming a longer warmup/cooldown and maybe add in a second set of something else, like just 25 yd repeats instead of 50s. After swimming today I also lifted. I thought my arms were gonna be pretty sore after swimming but it actually wasn't too bad.
