Easy run after work. Wanted to do 7 miles today since I felt good the past two days and want to start inching up my mileage. No calf issues but my cadence was kinda low. Felt pretty decent but had a lot on my mind so may have been distracted from focusing on form. Pretty annoyed with the always-in-your-face winter wind too. Towards the end of my run I did a few pickups as a substitute to strides to see how my cadence would do with those. Pretty good, 85-90 at 6:15-6:45 pace. Wasn't going for super fast, just wanted my legs to be moving fast which I accomplished. Might start doing these every run or strides and see if there's any benefit.
