Notes

Asthma acted up starting around 2.5 miles. Got out good and felt real relaxed, went through first mile at 5:20. At that point worked with Matt, Garrett, Grant, and Sean through to the 2nd mile, I think around 10:40 so very even so far. Then after that my breathing started getting really bad and I started falling back. I think my next mile may have been a 5:40. Just stuck it out and tried to keep as good a pace I could but definitely felt shittier as the race went on. I'm actually pretty surprised I still managed to run a 27:30, I definitely thought I would be slower. Not that I'm not disappointed with it. But, what could I do, I took my inhaler like I normally do before races. Some people were saying the course had a lot of dust and stuff being kicked up so maybe that was part of it but it's probably just this being my longest race effort this season and the inhaler not being totally effective. Going to the health center on Monday to see if there's anything else I can do to make my bad breathing go away.
