Sean K. Paradis 1st annual 5k. Local race for one of my classmate's brothers who sadly passed away a few years ago. Really good showing for the first annual race, saw a lot of old faces from Pelham and there was also a lot of Wentworth people there. The whole Wentworth lacrosse team was there basically.
Jake was out of town so there wasn't any real competition. As I had the half marathon tomorrow I didn't want to run crazy fast. Went out pretty slow just to see if anyone would take it out. No one did so I led but there were a couple people that stuck with me, one of my friends from high school cross country who isn't quite as fast as me and one of the lacrosse kids. At almost the 1 mile mark the lacrosse kid tried to make a move and that lasted maybe 4 or 5 strides. After that I basically said see ya and sped up to 5:30 pace. Held that for the rest of the race, and sped up a little for the end. Good race and I don't think it'll really affect me for tomorrow.
