Easy run after the elliptical. I was pretty pleased that I didn't have any calf issues, seems like my idea with warming up on the elliptical worked out. Not sure how the first mile turned out so fast, it was a little downhill I guess? A hill definitely explains the 2nd mile being slow. I went down a dead end road that I didn't know would be as long as it was. And most of it was uphill, I climbed 175 feet in elevation before turning around.
Disappointing cadences for this run though. 166 for the first mile which was a little fast, then only 162 for the next two miles. I don't wanna blame my shoes, but those boroclays just don't feel good. They're like big cushy bricks and feel cumbersome. I guess they've always somewhat felt like that and I've just been like whatever, but you know what, I really don't like them very much. Think this will be my last run in them. I have enough other shoes. Will work on cadence more tomorrow and hopefully be closer to 170+ like I've been doing the past few runs.
