Nashua Soup Kitchen 10K. Plan was to take it easy for most of this race and maybe go a little faster at the end. That's exactly what I did. Conversational pace for the first 4 miles. At 2.5 I was getting pretty antsy and was thinking I'd go at the 5k. But I caught up to one of our teammates who normally runs an 18ish minute 5k and decided to help pace him through the next mile or two. He did well and stuck with me through the 4th mile. But after 4 miles I couldn't hold back any longer and picked it up. 5th mile had a little bit of uphill but still felt pretty good. Definitely working at this point but felt great at the same time to be putting in a racing effort. Able to pick it up a little bit more for the final mile and went hard through the finish.

Pretty happy with the race, felt good to be in a competitive environment again. I have a 5 miler next weekend which I might go harder for. Then after that I have Capital District, where I still haven't decided what race I wanna do. But after those races I don't have anything planned until the second week of June. So should definitely be in shape enough to race-race by then. How fast who knows, but I should have some decent mileage by then.

Biking tomorrow cause the calf was a little sore after the cooldown. That and I have ran for 9 days straight. Will be a good day to recharge, and it should be good riding weather too.
