i did a swim last week but i didnt have much time and it was sort of a test run, this time i had a goal in mind (thanks to Ted and his advice) and did 40 laps all freestyle for 1000m. my form is terrible. i had trouble getting my breathing down on alternating sides and often stuck to one side or the other for a lap. when i alternate my left side breath is not smooth at all and i dont think my stroke with my left arm is smooth either but i at least know what i am supposed to do which is a start and i think i did better towards the end when i slowed down. mentally broke it up into four 10 lap sets with a brief break in between and checked the time for each 8:30, 7:15, 7:30, 8:45. I plan to do this on either monday or friday everyweek and am going to add a couple laps of breast stroke each week.
