We did a little bit of efficiency running this afternoon just as a tune-up for the race on Saturday. We did 300m, 400m, 2x600m, 400m, and 300m with equal distance jogging recovery between each. These were fast and were meant to work on a bit of speed and it felt pretty good. I had my foot taped a little differently than normal to try and help the tendon on top of the foot, and it seemed to help during this short workout. However, during the cool down that I did with Wade (about 5 miles) it got very painful toward the end for some reason, which worried me. The foot also got a little swollen during the evening, and I'm not sure why.
