Notes
I did a final long-ish run this afternoon, and it went great. My legs felt good, it was an absolutely beautiful run, and the pace was strong. After a slower-than-expected start (about 6:30s for the first six miles, which had two long uphills) I spent much of the run focusing on cadence, and it seemed to come more easily than normal. I was surprised at the difference it made in my pace, which felt smooth, strong, and relaxed. For the last 4 miles of the run I actually ended up doing about 5:50 pace, which surprised me because of how relaxed and sustainable it felt.
All in all a very good run, on a beautiful route with rolling but not-too-difficult hills. Now just recovering and tuning until next weekend!
