Today was the first day of official team practice, and we did a "testing run" workout. After an 8 min warm up we did 5 min of tempo, then came back for drills and strides and then did 5 laps of a short loop laid out on Cole Field for us which was supposed to be done with one lap at each of steady state, tempo, 10K, 5K, and 3K paces. I ended up splitting 2:17, 2:08, 2:08, 2:10, and 2:14. After that we went out and did a Cozy, doing 10 min of tempo during the run and then cooling down. This all showed that I'm really not in great shape, as I was far closer to the middle of the pack than I had hoped, but that I'm still doing okay and just have my work cut out for me.
