I did a short-ish workout of oslerians this evening around a block next to the Place de la Concorde (in Paris!) that was about 0.71 miles around, doing 4x(90 seconds @ 10K, 60 sec @ 5K, 30 sec @ 3K, and 30 sec lift), with 2 min recovery between pieces, followed by 2x30sec fast to really get the legs moving. It went really well, though admittedly it didn't feel quite as strong as I had been hoping, but I found (after measuring the loop on mapmyrun.com) that I was averaging somewhere around 5:30s for each piece, which means the 10K part would have been a little slower but then I really got moving for each subsequent piece, which is great to see since it didn't feel quite that fast. Not sure how I should feel about this whole not feeling 100% but it turning out to be really fast, which has happened twice now, but I suppose we'll find out soon enough. The new shoes continue to feel good, so that's also a good sign.
