We ran a pretty tough but not awful workout today, in which we did 2 miles at about 8K pace (I did 5:35 pace average), 1 mile at about 5K pace (I did 5:12), and then 2x800m at about 3K pace (I did a 2:30 and a 2:24). I did this all in my trainers (except the last 800 which I did barefoot and felt really good) which without a doubt made this harder than usual, but the paces weren't horrible and I actually started feeling ok especially during the barefoot 800m. I then followed the workout with a 3 mile cool down on which I actually felt very good, and I think the pace was pretty fair. I've been working hard here especially since WOOLF, but it's finally starting to come together and I'm starting to feel better and better. I think the easier day yesterday really helped too. Recovery day again tomorrow!
