Today we ran up Mount Greylock as a hill/tempo workout, and it was really tough. We did 5x(6 min tempo, 4 min "easy"), though after the last tempo piece we kept going hard for the last 12 minutes or so up the mountain. It was really tough for the first few miles, but after about the halfway point I actually started to feel better, and was able to really push up the final 0.7 mile climb to the top. I averaged about 7:30 pace all the way up, which I'm very happy with. This was a really hard but very rewarding workout!
