I knew this would be a tough race and even though I had a cold last week, I really thought IO would do a little bit better. I should have run in the 2:13 range compared to others I ran the 6 miler and 25k against.... I did start a bit slow but honestly with the way I felt in the O trail I think I might not have finished if I started faster.
The vision problem did slow me down a lot and the twisting ankles took a lot out of me. So I guess I did ok but I feel I didn't prepare right. a 12 minute pace seems slow....I do suspect that the distance is off a bit but still if I compare to other runners in my fitness level I should have been faster.
I had to fabricate the splits a bit comparing garmen with nike.....garmen read 8 miles nike read 14,4 miles.
My Heart rate was so high...false reading or was my body that tired? I did pick things up at the end and had a very good kick
