Brent/Iram needed help in the DC tent so I decided to join the race. First 5k in a while, had no idea what to expect. Still hot & humid and have done no speedwork in months. First mile felt very much in control, started suffering in the 2nd mile with a little uphill and 180 turn, just held on and tried to take advantage of the downhills in the last mile and was able to finish strong. Probably a minute off my PR but faster than expected.
