The plan was to take it easy and do a nice progression but stuck with Joe/Frank/Adrienne and went a bit faster than expected. Everything felt okay until about mile 5/6 where the hips stiffened up and my breathing started to get labored. Joe pulled ahead around mile 7/8 and I felt relieved to let him go until I saw him getting a little closer towards the end so I put in some effort to close the gap. We were almost together on the final bridge but he held on. Left knee and hip felt pretty good - it was just my fitness that kept me back.
