Brutal heat and humidity. 70 at the start with 95+% humidity. That oppression just before a front hit - worst morning of the week. So lucky I chose to race the Half. The full marathoners were dropping like flies. I suffered but not too bad. Just couldn't get down to the 6:20s like I'd hoped without overheating. Hills didn't help - forgot how tough that course is. I had called a 1:26 for the Ship - 2 min slower than 3M a few weeks ago. Ended up with a 1:27.
Took a couple of bites of Gu about 8 miles in but that's it.
