Notes

Hill Country Trivium - of course the warmest morning lately. Vince B and I drove out. The usual left foot/right ankle were grumpy but not even an issue during the race. Knew it was hilly but was not prepared - there was a straight uphill for a mile and smaller but steep hills throughout. beautiful country. Out-n-back with a staggered start so I thought I knew who was out there and passed the 2nd place guy at the turnaround and started to try to hunt down 1st place. Finally caught him about .5 to go. He stayed right behind for a little but finally backed off. Said he didn't know it would be so hilly. apparently a few faster guys started later than me and took the podium but ended up getting masters champion.

Felt pretty good where there were flat sections - still not comfortable down in the 6:45pace range - legs just not turning over easily. Need more speed work.
