It was the 120th and final running of the Sunstroke Summer Stampede (10 years strong) - this one up at Brushy Creek. The car thermometer showed 106 on the way up to the race so I was just trying to get through my head to have a solid race and not get caught up in any paces. Ended up with a 19:04 and though had a pretty big positive split I thought it went about as well as expected. About a minute off my PR but it's a difficult course and about as bad conditions as you could get. Ended up 3rd overall and 1st masters. I've run a handful of these over the years and will be sad to see it go.
