HR never topped 160. Avg was probably around 157. What a run! Quickest, best run of my life. Gorgeous weather, amazing pace, and really great feel in my legs. A combination of low temperatures, low humidity, and continued conditioning carried the day. Really neat: I think it's the first time I've ever broken 8 minutes for every mile of an aerobic run.
It's funny: I didn't want to go today at all, and resolved to at least do 5k (instead of my scheduled 5 miles), as that would be better than nothing. As I started into my second mile, I started feeling better, and by halfway through the second mile, I was fully resolved to do at least 4 miles. By the end of the second mile, i was feeling so good that I just went for all 5, and I've never been happier. Just goes to show: don't trust how you feel before your workout, and go do it anyway.
