Notes

Solid set of tempo intervals in my toughest workout so far in this training block. Felt good during a steady & relaxed warm up mile. 1st two tempo intervals were very solid for entire two miles. Fell into a good running rhythm at a "10k" effort early in the intervals and then slowly & steadily picked up the pace to the end of those intervals. I did feel some fatigue with about a half mile to go in the 2nd interval & although I did finish the 2nd interval strong I was pretty gassed at the end of the end of that interval. Because of that, I not only took the 2nd five minute recovery jog a little slower, but also ran the first half mile of the 3rd interval much more conservatively (about 4:35). After the conservative 1st half mile, I picked it up to "10k" effort & finished the last mile & a half very strong, running each of the final three half miles between 4:20 & 4:23. Cool down mile was nice & easy & legs still felt good at the end of the workout. Completed full set of post run exercises after the workout.
