4 below zero when I left the house at 6:30 a.m & schedule wouldn't let me wait for the somewhat warmer conditions around 11 a.m. So the indoor track it was. Pace & effort was pretty steady & consistent for the entire 16 miles, but there were portions during the middle miles where running that many short laps was really hypnotic & I was virtually running on autopilot. Because of that every so often, I pushed the effort a little to get my focus back. Felt some fatigue in last 3-4 miles, but just pushed through it without any real effect on pace or stride. Ran the last mile a little harder & finished very strong even with the somewhat fatigued legs. Completed the full set of exercise routines after the run.
