Planned on riding my bike at South Lakes Park at 5:30. I have no reflective gear or helmet so I drove my bike there. Pulling in I noticed the park does not open until 6. Cops pulled in behind me. I just got on my bike and rode it out of the park in front of them as though that had been my plan. I rode for 30 minutes in the dark on neighborhood roads.
At 6 I returned to the park and as soon as I started got stuck behind two chatting running girls who didn't know I was behind them. I gave up on the idea that the park is a good place to ride.
