Signed up on a whim 2 nights before the race. Course seemed pretty cool (a loop around a lake in NH). Really tough course. Basically as soon as you climbed up a hill there would be a steep down hill followed by another climb. Has me worried for racing halfs because I wasn't feeling great... Basically went out a tad too fast and then was continually being passed by people who were going too fast for me to hang on. Warm-ish day, but luckily the course was shaded. Anyway was a 10 mile PR for me, crushing my one from Lake George of 69:00 2 summers ago. Was aiming for closer to 65:XX, but oh well. Luckily the race ended on a down hill after some pretty grueling up hills
