First Classic Rock 5K downtown at Rosa Parks Circle. Want to see if I can run consecutive years on this race, if they keep having it. Bands playing 60's music and people dressed up in 60's garb. Course went along river paths to Sixth St. Bridge and back. Much of it run on my familiar running routes. Was HOT and HUMID!!!!!! Plus I just came off running 13 mile long run the day before, so not best of conditions. Started out okay on mile one, but quickly ran out of gas after that. Bob Shaffer beat me out for first again as he did in the Jenison Memorial Day Run. I think he is catchable at some point in the near future.
