First international race! Vacation in Strafford lead to finding a nearby race. South Huron Trail Run was 45 min drive away in Exeter, Ontario, Canada. They played bagpipes and the Canadian National Anthem before the race. Was interesting having everything in kilometers along the course. Ran fairly well for a hot late morning run. Finished first in age group, except grandmaster winner was in same age group, so technically finished second, but was boosted to first as he was taken out of the mix. Nice course through woods along a small stream/river. Almost all the course was gravel trail.
