Notes

Best "long" run yet. Started out as easy pace and tried to keep about min slower than average easy pace. Took frequent Gatoraid stops and ate plenty of jelly beans. Even ate a fiber bar at 10 miles (was feeling hungry). Becky rode with me and carried drink and food. At 12 -13 miles, felt really good and had burst of energy, so picked up pace for a few miles. The out and back through Riverside and then out and back to zoo/kent trails/Indian Mounds broke up the run quite well and turned out to be a good choice. Felt decent the entire run, even toward the end I still felt pretty good. Not the usual big struggle the last few miles. Legs were tired, but not to the point of really wanting to walk. I think the easier pace in the beginning made big difference along with drinking and nutrition along the way. Did not feel sick like last week after the 19 miler. This run was 10 times better than last weeks long run!
