6.5 hours sleep. Ran one hour after regular breakfast. Wore heart monitor higher on chest, just below nipples this time. Felt better and much less erratic readings. I think all previous readings are junk because of where I had monitor placed. Still trying to figure out max heart rate to compute zones. Stress test from 11/19/07 at Dr.'s office was 169, which is closer to formula of 205-(.5 x age) = 176.5 and the formula of 220 - age = 163. The max tested on the track last Sunday is certainly not right at 209 (bad placement of monitor). Will use 169 for max until I test it on track again. Ran "steady" pace today (above easy and just below tempo) and felt pretty good. Morning runs are MUCH better than warm afternoon runs.
