Notes
Well, that was fun. Headed out for what I thought would be 6, 8 at most looping out on the new Rt 180 back to Sunrise Glass from the high school. Well, Rt 180 doesn't loop anymore...
Had a nice pace going so I went a little farther. About mile 6 (passing the fish hatchery and Gary Moore Rd) I realized I wouldn't make it back in time for XC practice and there was little chance of this thing looping at all. Hit the Otis town line at 8.75, stopped to take a leak, and decided to head back. Realized I had been running 6:40's due to a stiff tailwind that was now an even stiffer (cooler because it got cloudy) headwind. What was going to be a fun story about how 6 turned into 17+ quickly became a grind. Long story short, I made it back (after running into the XC kids next to Newland and being yelled at for ditching them) and I do have a funny story and a quality long run (need more of these) in the books to start off the week.
