Why do I run: I continue to crawl out of bed at 5:30 am, walk out the door, and run in order to improve my overall health. I'm still not convinced I'll loose any weight (It's been two months now and not a pound has shed, of course the weight issue is just vanity talking), but I know I'm building up the muscles I melted a little with a couple visits to heat exhaustion. I know my lungs are improving. I know my mind is improving. So... I try to keep waking up. Gotta make it to that marathon before I die, you know. |
Why I started running: I started running because it was something my dad is really good at. I kinda wanted to try out his passion, I 'spose.
That was middle school. After a good... 5 or 6 year break, here I am again. This time I think I started running because a Phil Wilson told me I should (in order to increase my lung capacity, he's a trombone instructor at Berklee College of Music). But that wasn't quite enough for me. I'm also running because I'd like to tell my children someday that I ran a marathon. Why not? =D |
