Daniels' Gold Elite plan, week 5, day 5, 2 x (10 x 200m) at R pace (<73/quarter) with 1 min E jog recoveries and 10 min. E between sets.
Set 1: Avg reps/recovery: 34.2 / 59.5
Set 2: 35.3 / 61.3
I thought this workout was going to be more or less a piece of cake, but it took considerably more will and concentration than I suspected. The second set proved to be significantly harder than I anticipated. I guess it's similar to the 10x400 that I was doing before this week, but in total with 1/3 less recovery (not counting the 10 minute interlude). I was pleased at least that as I saw the times sliding a bit at the end of the second set I focused a little harder and brought the time back in line on the 9th rep and then finished with a nice fast final rep.
