A slow-ass mile. Man, I just didn't feel it today. Dreaded it and then just felt pretty dead the whole way 'round. We ran 1610m, so it's a true mile time at least. Helps a little! I think a couple of years ago I ran a similar slow tryout time and then smoked a 4:51 or something in the actual race. Hopefully I will bounce back and do the same this year or else I'm in trouble. Splits (first one is 410m): 76.0, 78.2, 77.6, 74.0. I could tell immediately going into the 2nd lap that it just wasn't going to be there today. :-(
