Mile attempt number 3. Right out of the gate, got stuck running in lane 2/3. Was able to make a move to get towards the front of the pack, but never found a way to settle beyond lane 2 until probably the halfway mark of the race. Probably finished in 5th in my heat out of 11 (official results arent up yet)?
Overall felt good today, a little more relaxed than last week. Would loved to have hit 4:40, but would have needed to get just below 35 for a few more of those laps. Was surprised how even I was able to keep the splits. If there was one more mini meet I think I would have had a good shot at it. It's been fun to change things up and run these indoor meets the past few weeks. Would be up for running more track races at some point. Not exactly contending but still fun nonetheless.
Achilles felt fine racing although still doesnt seem to be 100% yet.
Sean (4:47) and Larissa (4:55) also ran today. Successful meet for everyone all around.
