Wasn't feeling the track this morning, especially in the pitch black, so opted for a tempo run. Goal was to do two intervals of 3 miles but added in another 2 miler at the end. First interval went great. The second I struggled to hold pace although in fairness the second set had some hills and headwind to contend with so the 5:58 and 6:05 weren't that off. The last 2 tempo miles was on tired legs and I just didn't have it in me to push through.
Goal would have been 5:45-5:50 for the tempo sections.
