Notes

Have to head down to CT for work this morning, coming back on Wednesday. Decided to get up for an early morning track workout before I get in the car for 2.5+ hours. Unfortunately, humidity/heat got up before me and beat me to the track.

Planned workout was cruise intervals - 6 miles (technically 1600's) at threshold with 1 minute rest for each mile. As usual, I broke the workout into combinations of 1600, 3200, 1600, 3200 for a total of about 6 miles. Considered pushing for more, but figure I have plenty of time to add on to the intervals as the summer moves on. I figure with each one of these workouts leading up to the marathon, I can keep adding on an additional mile.

Wasn't quite hitting my goal pace of 5:36, but not terribly far off. I know if I was running with the group we would be going sub 5:30, but 5:36 was a good (according to the pace chart) split to aim for.

At the end, Chris and (drawing a blank on her name at the moment) got to the track during my last rep and began their workout. Next time I'll need to coordinate with them and see if they're up for starting earlier so we can do the workout together.

Now it's off to CT for today/tomorrow.
