It's been awhile back to good old cruise intervals at DeFazio, starting in the dark. Wasn't sure what to expect with the legs beaten up coming into the workout. Started a bit slowly, in part due to the cold and not being warmed up. Never quite had much pop today but was able to eventually get a few closer to 5:30 (goal was originally 5:28) but not quite where I wanted to be for the workout. I didn't quite go hard pushing myself and had I tried to exhaust myself I could have hit the splits but would have expended more energy than planned for the threshold pace. I figured I would rather get in threshold effort than miss the point of the workout. Still some limited time to get back into shape.
