Notes

Despite it officially becoming Spring just as I was concluding my run, this was by far the worst ice I've encountered all year. While yesterday morning/afternoon's snow was cleared away when everyone returned home from work, another coating of snow/ice fell overnight turning every sidewalk into a skating rink.

Still nervous after my fall on the ice a week and a half ago, I took today's run very conservatively. I dont think I realistically could have pushed the pace much anyway. Way too much black ice and it was just a constant switch from pavement to snow to black ice over and over. Slipped several times but at least stayed on my feet.

Given how tired I was at track last night, I guess it's not the end of the world for a forced "recovery run". Splits were dreadful, but to say the ice was terrible would still be an understatement.

Hopefully conditions will be better tomorrow morning.
