Solo tempo run mid-day. It wasn't as humid this week, but it was still a balmy 87 degrees which didn't help. Workout was a series of 3 miles, 2 miles, 1 mile, and 1 mile with 1 mile recoveries between. Goal was to hit the first 3 between 5:30 and 5:40, the next set between 5:20 and 5:30, and the last sets between 5:10 and 5:20. In reality, I was toast. Either due to the heat or just not being in shape, I couldn't crack below 5:30. I'll still take it given where I am in my training and lack of sleep, but would be nice to hit these tempos harder going forward.
