Got home from work on the earlier side and the weather seemed nice, so decided to try to squeeze in a short ride. I knew between rush hour traffic on the roads and the number of people on the bike path, it would likely be a slower ride. Once I got past Arlington Center things opened up and became a little easier to ride without constant interruptions.
Completely blew it regarding the timing of sunset. For some reason I thought it was set for 7:00, turns out to be 6:00. Spent the second half of the ride completely in the dark, but luckily had a headlight in the front and a rear red light so I could see / be seen. Depressing how quickly it gets dark these days.
Ended up just staying on the bike path for pretty much the entire ride.
