Notes

Ran indoors on a nicer treadmill. Today was the Atrium YMCA indoor triathlon! The race was supposed to be a stretch-out for me and it delivered! I pushed the swim hard, pushed the bike to high cadence and low resistance, and then pushed the run fairly hard. I think I could've gone farther on the run but only by a little bit.

The swim was fairly uneventful. I started off to a decent pace and held it the whole time. I just went at my aerobic threshold basically. I made sure to push the turns and not pause during them like I usually do when just cruising.

The bike pissed me off though because they just used spinbikes and it turned into a cadence competition. I averaged 120rpm for the entire time but there were other people who happen to spin who can hold faster rpm even though the watts weren't there. BUT - I still think I did a good job keeping on top of it and making sure that my legs stayed happy.

The run was good, I jogged during the transition to ease into it and then slowly worked the pace down to about 6min pace. Then I kept upping the speed everyonce in awhile. Finally during the last 5min I upped the speed considerably and ended up averaging 5:41 pace! granted it was on a treadmill which literally pulls your feet along haha. Still I am very happy with how the race ended up!
