Notes

Wow, it has been a few weeks since I ran on a weekday. Dragged myself out of bed though.

While struggling through the biggest layoff/slump of my short running career, I managed to pack on some pounds too. Not good. I am going in the wrong direction. Fortunately, that (along with an email from D) inspired me to run. Besides, I have the Tour de Cure around the corner, I have to get my fitness level back up!

While I ran much slower than usual, I was focused on cadence. I had a chat with Pete & D about it, and I was pleasantly surprised to see that I am almost always at 172...so I am not far off of the magical 180. This was a good welcome back workout, and I am looking forward to more!

Great to see you back out there Joe! Don't worry, just keep at it and your weight will drop and your fitness will return and then get even better! Don't worry about the pace at this point.

Way to go buddy!!!Good job keeping your pace consistent. After a layoff the 1st run is the hardest one. It's all downhill from here.

Way to get back out there! The extra pounds will take care of themselves as you pick up the miles - just pace yourself. I have a couple I need to shed too.
