Notes

The star of this morning's run was mother nature. As I came around the first bend of my usual loop, I witnessed one of those 'sky on fire' type of sunrises. It was already mostly up, but it had some really rich hues of red going on.

I took a more uphill route than I typically do to help pad the mileage and mix it up a little. That took me over towards a nearby park and that is when a monster flock of birds just blanketed the sky. It literally got darker for a moment. That was cool.

Overall, I didn't feel like I was killing myself out there, but I also didn't want to log it as easy. It was very cold again, saw my breath the whole way, and my nose started running half way through. But, I managed to get back up to three miles, so I am happy with today's efforts.

Hey man! So nice to see mother nature displaying herself for you, although you've always been good with the ladies. I feel like when you are all alone and you are running, there's something extra special about it :)

Once again, let me put this in perspective for you. The only time you have gone farther (by .1 miles) at a faster pace, was the race and only by a little bit. The fact that this was a training run and you weren't killing yourself shows how much progress you have made! Great job!
