Arggghhh

I woke up this morning and my knee was pretty stiff-not painful but not normal. I started running and it was clearly feeling the effects of yesterday. It didn't hurt really but it, again, wasn't normal. I questioned running at all but this last week after a mile it's usually warmed up and feeling good so I decided to test it for a mile. After a mile it was feeling more warmed up but I still felt like I probably shouldn't run the full 6. I debated between 3 and 4 but it was feeling pretty good so I went with 4.

I did not have pain for my long run yesterday. In fact after the first hour or so I wasn't aware of my knee at all. It felt normal. Clearly though the 21 miles was a stressor and I wonder how smart it was for me to do the whole thing. It's a hard thing to balance when there's not pain but it's not totally normal.

Today my knee started to feel a little more sore about 3 miles in and I wished I had cut it at 3. It's not painful really, just sore. And once I got home, it's not sore to walk and it's not sore when it's at rest. It doesn't feel like it did on Thursday when I cut my workout short-that was actual pain.

I'm feeling disheartened and stressed about this.
