Irked as hell that the course at the Breakaway 5K was long. I knew things were gonna be off-base when I did a warmup and the Mile 3 marker was about a quarter-mile from the finish line.
Nevertheless, I finished 19th overall (out of 265 or so), and took 3rd in Men 40-49.
My formerly mega-obese buddy did the course about three minutes faster than last year, so it was a feel-good morning! We're going to try to get him in in 55:00 next time.
