Notes

Love this race. It is tough all the way through to mile 8. Mile 7 is just down right unpleasant by that point. First 3 miles are a straight incline up Rt 2. Fairly relentless. I was pretty strong on the uphills and picked off numerous crying runners who had not run the course before. Passed Eric Johnston and he started complaining about his leg injury and then immediately picked it up and passed me. Dumped him later to find out that he dropped a 6 minute mile at the end to just pass me at the finish. I had him on chip time as he started ahead of me but he won the gun war.

I think my plan was pretty good. Wanted between 8:15 and 8:20 1st mile and hit 8:17. Last 8 min mile even with bad mile 7.

Nice big car pool with Chris S., Debbie, Sari, Marsha, Amanda, Julia, Greg, Steve Anderson, Glenda.

So, another PR on the cycle and first time to break 1:20.

Wow, you crushed your time goal! That's how to throw it down! Nice job, Rep.

Another 10 mile race and another big PR. There's no stopping you now! I definitely see a 1:15 in your future. Super splits and you managed to keep mile 7 in the 7s. Nice job!

First time breaking 1:20 and not only that, but you kept on going through 1:19 and 1:18. Amazing job pacing. It's not an easy course, but you made it look that way. Another PR in a books, congrats!

Woah, watch out- Dwight is on fire! What an amazing PR on a hilly course. I wish I were there to celebrate with you! What a strong finish (the "cherry" on top!) This is your year Dwight. You know what this means. 3:38 or faster at Steamtown, baby. You can do it. But for now, bask in your pit of cherries. You make this running stuff look easy!

You know how you know when your conditioning is really really, really good ? When you can hold the (shitty!) hilly miles 7 and 8 without suffering much attrition in pace. You showed off one of those better consistent pacing, Dwight, and even finished looking SUPER coming down the finish runway. I'm very impressed, and proud of ya, pops ...not too shabby for an old man! hehehe
