Notes
The toughest Comrades for me (in the 4 I did), although it is not my worst time or overall position. Very hot and windy (in the second half; the first half was fine). Everything went well up until 30km 'to go' where cramps started setting in and it was a fight just to stay going, never mind keeping up the pace. Was treated for dehydration after the race (went through 2 bags of drip). I really concentrated on taking in allot of fluids during the race, but clearly I was mistaken and I paid the price. It is the first Comrades that I had cramps.
I'm just glad I finished.
P.S. The field sizes indicated on this entry is taken from the stats at the first checkpoint (Cowies Hill). The starting stats is not yet available. The entry will be updated once that data is available.
