Notes
Glorious run. Easy, flat first half, starting out along glittering track strewn with tumbled beach glass. Started out fast with full intention to walk and eat my way up the mountain when I got to it. Plan worked out pretty well. Second half revealed breathtaking vistas of arrow leaf balsam root, mountain range and mirror lakes. A brutal last half marathon with steep climbs, descents and scorching sun exposure requiring ipod pick me up for the final stretch. Earned myself a lovely handmade sunflower medallion made by a local potter for age group 2nd place finish. Tough, but great morning on the trails.
