Mile at Olivet. Great race. Fast head had ~15 guys with 7 of us from NCC. I was hip number 5 so I knew I had to get off the line hard and get position (unlike last year). Did that perfectly and settled in immediately in 3rd behind Chris and Andy. From there I was in autopilot just trying to hang on to those two. Chris broke away after 600-800 in front of Andy and I. Going into the 1000 I still felt really good and felt like I was ready to have a great part 4. One lap later, I was like "oh fuck" as Al started yelling "maintenance quarter! maintenance quarter!". Andy gapped me slightly over the next 200, but the last 200 is when he got the most ground on me. I tried to stay relaxed and focus on my form but I was tying up pretty bad. Still pretty happy with the race. I think I was 63-64, 2:07-2:08, and 3:13. I would like to run at least one more fresh mile this indoor season, but we shall see how everything plays out.
